Moringa ? The Natural African Power Pack
The Moringa tree indigenous to the bottom of the Himalaya mountains is used as a tradional ayurvedic remedy for centuries. Today the moringa tree is not only growing on the Asian continent, but also in other tropic and sub-tropic regions. For example in east Africa, where we source our unique Leaf Powder. Of course organically grown and from fair trade sources.
The Moringa tree itself can reach a height of around 12 meters and a trunk diameter of 40 cm. So it is a rather small tree compared to the baobab tree. What they have in common is that they are real all-rounders when it comes to their usage. Nearly every part of the plant has a tradional usage. The leafs and pods get cooked and eaten like vegetables. The roots with its high content of essential oils is a well-known substitute for horse-radish and the immature seeds get often fried and served as a snack. So a real all-rounder.
Due to the careful drying of the moringa leafs, the leafs remain a real power pack. Especially the high level of Vitamin A and Vitamin E, as well as a ORAC-Value (Oxygen Radical Absorption Rate) of over 44000 makes the Moring Leaf Powder to one of the best natural radical scavenger. But not only the level of antioxidants made the Leaf powder to something special, also the level of minerals is remarkable. With two levelled teaspoons (ca. 12g) you provide your body not only with the daily recommended amount of Vitamin A, you also provide your body with 160 mg of calcium and 5,2 mg of iron.
